As a mother of three, I'm constantly in awe of how many everyday moments with our children are so precious. For me, photography is a way to forever freeze those subtle, fleeting moments, be it a tiny hand stifling a yawn or the placid expression of a newborn lost in dream, so that they can be cherished again and again.
I like to take pictures of my own life as it unfolds. My approach to photographing newborns is similar. I try to visually tell a spontaneous story of the subject in that particular moment in time using natural light, subtle backgrounds and textures, and props to enhance, rather than overwhelm the subject.
To make sure that I can capture those precious, authentic moments, both big and small, visible and and not so visible, I use the following equipment:
Nikon D810
Nikon 85mm, Art 35mm, Nikon 70-200mm, Sigma 24-70mm lenses, and Nikon 105mm Macro
